Individualized
|
| Each youth referred to one of our residential programs is interviewed and assessed to determine whether our services appear appropriate to his strengths, needs, and risks. The student establishes the goals of his program placement in discussion with his parent/guardian, helping professionals and our treatment team. |

Through the initial interview, admission process, regular plan of care meetings and frequent one-on-one discussions with staff, the young person’s goals are reviewed and progress assessed.
he experiential education program design seeks to adapt every program activity to address the needs and goals of each student: A Masters-level therapist offers confidential individual and family counselling; the teacher will help the student select independent learning courses matched to his academic goals; and the student’s prime care worker will give particular attention to attending to the student’s unique concerns.
Regular team meetings provide a forum for ensuring the entire team is working in concert to help the student reach his goals. Each student is provided with a student portfolio which offers useful program tips, individualized therapeutic worksheets, and certificates of accomplishment.
